India vs South Africa 3rd Test Day 3: After scoring a huge total in the first innings, India bowled out Proteas for 162 in the first innings of Ranchi Test, on Monday. Likewise, India enforced the follow-on and was inches closer to seal the victory on Monday only. In the first innings, Zubayr Hamza was the leading run-scorer, as he put 62 runs on the scoreboard. Also, the experiment for deploying Deal Elgar and Quinton De Kock as openers didn’t work well for South Africa.
South Africa collapsed in the first innings, and the credit goes to Umesh Yadav, who bagged three wickets and Mohammed Shami, Shahbaz Nadeem and Ravindra Jadeja, who took 2 wickets each. Likewise, in the second innings, Umesh Yadav and Shami gave early jolts to the visitors as they dismissed Quinton De Kock, Zubayr Hamza, Faf Du Plessis and Temba Bavuma in the first 10 overs.
Afterward, the spinners took the charge and dismissed Heinrich Klassen, George Linde, Dane Piedt and Kagiso Rabada. The bowlers were having fun. Shami took 3 wickets; Umesh Yadav bagged 2 wickets, while Jadeja and Ashwin took 1 wicket each. Now, Theunis de Bruyn and Anrich Nortje are on the crease, while the visitors are still trailing by 203 runs. India needs to take just two wickets to seal an emphatic victory in the three-match Test series.
