Indian Army names military firing range in Kashmir after actress Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan Firing Range: In recognition of Vidya Balan's contribution to Indian cinema, the Indian Army recently announced that it has named one of its firing ranges after the actor. A few days ago, it was announced that she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It is pertinent to mention that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the governing body behind the Oscars. On the work front, Vidya Balan is currently being lauded for her stellar performance in Amazon Prime Video's 'Sherni'. She is portraying the character of Vidya Vincent- an upright forest officer.
