Indian Army names military firing range in Kashmir after actress Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan Firing Range: In recognition of Vidya Balan's contribution to Indian cinema, the Indian Army recently announced that it has named one of its firing ranges after the actor.
It has been named Vidya Balan Firing Range which is located in Gulmarg, Kashmir.

Earlier in 2021, Vidya Balan along with her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur had attended the Gulmarg Winter Festival which was organized by the Indian Army.

Likewise, several social media users shared the same news on Instagram and Twitter while nothing was posted anything about it yet by Vidya Balan.
A few days ago, it was announced that she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It is pertinent to mention that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the governing body behind the Oscars.
On the work front, Vidya Balan is currently being lauded for her stellar performance in Amazon Prime Video's 'Sherni'. She is portraying the character of Vidya Vincent- an upright forest officer.
Vincent powers through the brutal beasts of barriers set by society and the lackadaisical attitudes within her department.
