Indian-origin man charged with woman's murder in Singapore
A 34-year-old Indian origin man was charged with 40-year-old woman’s murder in Singapore on Friday. The woman identified as Mallika Begum Rahamansa Abdul Rahman was found dead in a rented apartment.

According to the media reports, the accused, M Krishnan and Mallika Begum knew each other. They were in a relationship and both of them had frequent fights.
The police told the media that it received a call regarding the murder at around 1:30 am on Thursday. The police then reached the spot and found Mallika Begum lying motionless inside her room. It called the paramedics to the spot. It pronounced her dead at the scene.

The police further told that the M Krishnan fled the scene. But it somehow managed to catch him hours later.
The next hearing for Krishnan’s case was set on January 25. If M Krishnan is convicted then he will face the death penalty.
