Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after scripting history in BWF World Championships 2019, by becoming first Indian to win the world championship. Earlier, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju met shuttler Sindhu and presented her cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to her for winning a gold medal in BWF World Championships 2019. Likewise, Kiren Rijiju said, “Honoured PV Sindhu who created history and made India proud by winning the World Badminton Championship for the first time! My best wishes to her in her pursuit to bring more glory to India”.
Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on the day when Sindhu scripted history. He said, “The stupendously talented PV Sindhu makes India proud again! Congratulations to her for winning the Gold at the BWF World Championships. The passion and dedication with which she’s pursued badminton is worth inspiring. PV Sindhu’s success will inspire generations of players”.
