International Nagar Kirtan departs from Odisha's Bhubaneswar to Sambalpur

On Thursday, the International Nagar Kirtan taken out to mark the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji departed from Bhubaneswar in Odisha to Sambalpur, its next destination. The Palki Sahib was rested in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The next resting place will be Sambalpur. The holy procession started from Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan, the birthplace of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and entered India through the Wagah border in Amritsar on August 1, 2019. Here it was welcomed by Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia and other party leaders. DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa was present in Sri Nankana Sahib when the Nagar Kirtan started and came back to India through the Attari-Wagah border with the Palki Sahib. In West Bengal, the Palki Sahib was welcomed by chief minister Mamata Banerjee. The next stop was Jharkhand, followed by Odisha. -PTC News
