Jalandhar AIR services go off air? Here's what Akashwani has to say
Jalandhar All India Radio (AIR) services were interrupted due to technical disturbances on Saturday after which there were reports that the Akashwani has gone off air.
As per the report published in Hindi newspaper which later went viral on social media, that Jalandhar All India Radio (AIR) has decided to shut down Akashwani's medium web transmitter from the old city of Jalandhar in Punjab with immediate effect.

Rejecting the reports, the Akashwani issued evidence and told that the services of Akashvani will continue.
Meanwhile, it was reported that All India Radio Jalandhar informed that the 100X2 kW mediumwave transmitter was shutdown due to a technical snag. The broadcast on this transmitter will continue on FM 103.6 Mhz.

The shutdown of this transmitter will have no impact on the programs of AIR Jalandhar, a report said. Reportedly, the AIR Jalandhar stated that all their broadcasts will continue within the service of the listener as before.
