PML SD Business School welcomes new PGDM batch with 'Deeksharambh' orientation programme
PTC Web Desk: PML SD Business School, Chandigarh, organised its orientation programme, 'Deeksharambh', to welcome students of the PGDM Batch (2026–28). The event introduced the new batch to the institution's academic culture while offering valuable guidance from educationists and industry leaders.
Welcoming the students, Prof. (Dr.) Kapil Pandla, Director of the Business School, encouraged them to make the most of the next two years by focusing on academic excellence, discipline, industry exposure and continuous learning. He stressed the importance of developing the skills needed to succeed in today's competitive business environment.
Sharing the institution's journey, Prof. (Dr.) SC Vaidya, General Secretary of the GGDSD College Society, spoke about the history and vision behind the Business School. Prof. (Dr.) SK Sharma, General Secretary of the Society, urged students to become lifelong learners and responsible leaders. Speaking about Artificial Intelligence, he advised students to use AI as a tool to support their work rather than depend entirely on it, saying, "Use AI as your subordinate, not your master."
The chief guest, Dr. Sanjeev Juneja, Founder of Divisa Herbals Pvt. Ltd. and the creator of well-known brands such as Kesh King, Dr Ortho, Roop Mantra and Pet Saffa, shared his entrepreneurial journey with the students. He spoke about how innovative ideas, determination and understanding customer needs helped him build successful brands.
Encouraging students to stay updated with changing market trends, Dr. Juneja said that adaptability is one of the biggest strengths in business. He also reminded them that failures should be seen as learning opportunities and motivated them to pursue their goals with honesty, innovation, resilience and dedication.
The programme was also attended by Jatinder Bhatia, Finance Secretary, GGDSD College Society, Chandigarh, and Dr. PK Bajaj, General Secretary, GGDSD College Society, Chandigarh.
The orientation programme concluded on a positive note, with students leaving inspired and ready to begin their academic journey at PML SD Business School.
