Here's how people react to Jyotiraditya Scindia's resignation

Jyotiraditya Scindia resignation: Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday resigned from Congress and released a letter on Twitter. In a letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Scindia wrote: "It is now time for me to move on. I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and as you well know, this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year." He further wrote: "While my aim and purpose remain the same as it has always been from the very beginning, to serve the people of my state and country, I believe I am unable to do this anymore within this party."

Ashok Gehlot's reaction

Reacting to Jyotiraditya Scindia's resignation, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said in a tweet: "Joining hands with BJP in a time of national crisis speaks volumes about a leaders self-indulgent political ambitions. Especially when the BJP ruining the economy, democratic institutions, social fabric and as well the Judiciary." He added that "Mr. Scindia has betrayed the trust of the people as well as the ideology. Such people prove they can’t thrive without power. Sooner they leave the better."

"He was not at all sidelined"

In a tweet, Digvijay Singh wrote: "No question he was not at all sidelined. In fact, please ask any Congress Leader from MP particularly from Gwalior Chambal Division and you would come to know nothing moved in this area without his consent in the last 16 months. Sad. But I wish him well under ModiShah Tutelage!" He added that "...he should replace Amit Shah or Nirmala Seetharaman and knowing his talent he would certainly do a better job than either of them.
