Landslide blocks Chandigarh-Manali highway near Pandoh
Himachal Pradesh: Following a landslide triggered by heavy rains, the Chandigarh-Manali highway was on Saturday blocked at 7 Miles near Pandoh in Mandi district.
Vehicular movement between Mandi and Kullu has come to a standstill as huge boulders on the Chandigarh-Manali highway have blocked traffic from both sides.

The authorities have engaged workforce and machinery to clear the debris from the highway.
Notably, the Chandigarh-Manali highway has been closed since Friday (July 30), and traffic is being redirected via Kataula. So far, no casualties have been reported on the stretch.
Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing heavy rain, leading to cloudbursts and landslides at several places, for the past few days.

Over 200 people are still stranded in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti following a cloudburst and landslides earlier this week. Three trekkers were reported missing on Friday.
Heavy rain warning till August 3
The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh yellow weather warning for heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh till August 3. The hill state is unlikely to get any respite from continuing bad weather in the coming days.
The Shimla MeT centre has advised the public, especially tourists, to not go near rivers and water bodies as the water level may increase any time. Landslides and uprooting of trees may also occur at some places.
Heavy rains are likely to occur in the plains and low and mid hills of the state till August 5, a MeT department official said.
