Milkha Singh hospitalised with Covid pneumonia, doctors say condition stable

Milkha Singh Health Condition: The second wave of coronavirus in India has affected several sportspersons and celebrities including India's legendary athlete Milkha Singh. The latest health update suggested that he had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Meanwhile, Milkha Singh's health condition is stable. The 91-year-old athlete has been admitted to the Fortis Hospital after testing positive for the virus only as a precautionary measure. However, he developed pneumonia after which he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit. On Thursday, the news of Milkha Singh being infected with coronavirus surfaced. The official statement said that “Milkha Singh was admitted at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, in the ICU on May 24, 2021, with Covid pneumonia. He is stable and presently on low flow oxygen and medical management." The legendary athlete is suffering from a high fever since last Wednesday. An attendant was sent to Milkha's residence along with oxygen facilities to look after the 'Flying Sikh'. His wife Nirmal Kaur has confirmed that her husband had not been vaccinated as yet. Milkha Singh Health Condition: As coronavirus affected several sportspersons including Milkha Singh who has been admitted to Fortis Hospital. On the other hand, Milkha's son Jeev had earlier revealed that he was weak and not eating well since Monday, therefore, they had to hospitalize him.
