Andhra pharma company blast: 15 injured as reactor explodes in pharma plant
Andhra pharma company blast: A reactor exploded in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalle district, injuring more than 15 persons. The explosion occurred at the Achutapuram Special Economic Zone.
The explosion took place inside the Escientia Company, a pharmaceutical company's plant in the Special Economic Zone. The injured have been taken to the NTR Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred at lunchtime, averting a massive tragedy. Visuals from the scene show smoke rising from the reactor and engulfing the neighbouring villages.
Relief and rescue operations are underway.
