Arvind Kejriwal's arrest: AAP leaders to sit on fasting dharna on April 7
Arvind Kejriwal's arrest: The Aam Aadmi Party leaders will hold a fast at Jantar Mantar on April 7 to protest against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, party leader Gopal Rai announced on Wednesday.
Rai, a cabinet minister in Kejriwal's government, called for a nationwide fast during a press conference. "If you oppose the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister, you can fast on April 7. You can hold the collective fast anywhere," he remarked.
Rai stated that the party's top leadership had been arrested with an "aim to finish AAP."
"On April 7, Delhi government ministers, AAP MPs, MLAs, councillors, and office bearers will fast at Jantar Mantar. This will be an open event, and student organisations, farmer bodies, and traders are welcome to attend," he stated.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Arvind Kejriwal last month in an excise policy-related money laundering case. He has been placed in judicial custody till April 15.
