Baba Siddique murder: Salman Khan was on Shooter's hit list before murdering NCP leader
PTC News Desk: In a significant development in Baba Siddique murder case, the accused who are in custody revealed during an interrogation that the initial plan was to kill Salman Khan before murdering NCP leader.
NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai. Three assailants opened fire, hitting him twice in the chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The shooters further said that bollywood actor was on their hit list, however they could not reach up to him due his heightened security.
Earlier in April, two bike-borne assailants fired at Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. The shooters identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were later arrested from Gujarat. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack.
In recent months, Salman Khan has been repeatedly targeted by threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
In response to these escalating threats, Salman Khan has been provided Y security and there is a strong police presence outside his residence. The Mumbai Police have also installed AI-powered and high-resolution CCTV cameras with facial recognition technology to enhance security.
