Boy hit by vehicle on Delhi-Meerut Expressway causes pile-up in Ghaziabad

Delhi-Meerut Expressway accident: A tragic incident unfolded on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway in Ghaziabad as an unidentified vehicle ran over a 10-year-old boy, leading to a pile-up involving three cars near Sikrod. Naresh Kumar Sharma, a local police officer, provided details of the distressing event.

The young boy, a resident of Sikrod, fell victim to the hit by the unknown vehicle and succumbed to his injuries. His body was found lying on the expressway, prompting a car driver to apply brakes upon seeing it. Consequently, two other cars approaching from behind collided with the stationary vehicle, resulting in damage to all three cars. Fortunately, the passengers in these cars escaped major injuries, as confirmed by Sharma.


Sharma mentioned that the deceased boy resided nearby, and authorities were actively investigating the circumstances leading to his presence on the expressway. Assistant Police Commissioner Naresh Kumar stated that a dedicated police team was diligently probing the case to ascertain further details.
