Chandigarh rains: Know which roads are still blocked in City Beautiful
Avoid these roads in Chandigarh: Heavy rains across the entire North Indian belt, particularly Chandigarh and Mohali, disrupted not only regular life but also the travel plans public.
Severe waterlogging cause disruption of normal life, with roads and residential areas submerged in knee-deep water.
As incessant rain continued for three days in Chandigarh and nearby areas, Chandigarh Traffic Police issued traffic advisory list of roads which are still blocked, and several other which are opened in Chandigarh today.

Chandigarh Traffic Police took to its official Twitter handle and wrote, “The general public is being informed that the issue of Waterlogging at Railway under bridge road near CTU workshop, phase-1 & SDM East light point, Chandigarh has been resolved and the traffic flow is normal.”
Chandigarh Traffic Police further informed the general public that tree has been removed from Sector 10/11 dividing road Sector 11 side, Chandigarh & the road is open now and traffic flow is normal.
Chandigarh Traffic Police informed the commuters that a tree has fallen at Mattaur Chowk (Sec.43/44/51/52 Chowk) Junction-59, Sector 43C side slip road and traffic is being diverted towards main carriageway.
The commuters have also been informed that there is traffic congestion at Housing Board L/P, Madhya marg, CHD. Traffic Police are on the job. Commuters are requested to avoid this stretch of road.
Chandigarh Traffic Police also informed the general public that road repair patch work is being done by the official of the engineering wing at Kalibari light point (sector 31 side) Purav marg, near small chowk Sec. 32/33 (Sec.32 side) & Gaushala Chowk.
Chandigarh Traffic Police also informed the general public is being informed that due to continuous release of water in Sukhna choe from Regulator end gates of Sukhna lake the road area as well as bridges on Sukhna choe at Village Kishangarh, Shastri Nagar, near CTU Workshop and Makhan majra are blocked.
