Gurugram: Woman kills married live-in partner for talking to his ailing wife
PTC News Desk: A 40-year-old scrap dealer was fatally stabbed by his live-in partner early Saturday morning in Gurugram’s DLF Phase 3 area following a dispute over his communication with his wife, according to police.
The victim, Harish Sharma, hailed from Baliawas village and had been in a live-in relationship with 27-year-old Yashmeet Kaur for over a year. The two lived together in a rented apartment.
Despite being married and having two daughters who lived with his wife in the village, Sharma frequently spoke to his ailing wife, which reportedly angered Kaur.
On Friday night, after witnessing him talking to his wife, a heated argument broke out between the couple. In a fit of anger, Kaur allegedly stabbed Sharma in the chest with a kitchen knife. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police are also investigating Vijay, also known as Sethi, a friend of Sharma’s who was said to be in another room at the time. Sharma’s nephew has accused both Kaur and Vijay of conspiring to murder him.
Kaur, a resident of Ashok Nagar in Delhi, has been arrested and has confessed to the killing. Authorities recovered the murder weapon and a blood-soaked T-shirt from the apartment.
