Jammu and Kashmir: BSF jawan martyred in unprovoked firing by Pakistan rangers in Ramgarh

Jammu and Kashmir: In an unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers along the International Border (IB) in the Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, a BSF jawan martyred on Thursday early morning. 

BSF jawan sustained bullet injuries after Pakistan rangers violated the ceasefire along the international border in the Ramgarh and Arnia sectors and jawan was rushed to Community Health Centre Ramgarh for treatment, from where he was shifted to a Military hospital after receiving first aid but later succumbed to injuries. 


The shooting on Border Outposts in the district is Pakistan Rangers' third ceasefire violation along the IB in Jammu in 24 days.

The heavy exchange of fire between the BSF troopers and the Rangers started around 2-2.30 am in early hours of Thursday. 
The firing took place after 4-5 years. 


Meanwhile, a terrorist affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF) was killed in Kathohalan area of Shopian in Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Thursday.
Incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, have also been recovered from the possession of the terrorist.
