The mention of Operation Sindoor in connection with Pakistan’s loss to India in the Asia Cup underscored a clear point — whether on the battlefield or in sports, India has triumphed over Pakistan.
Earlier in May, India’s powerful airstrikes crippled Pakistan’s terror bases and military assets, leaving its airspace vulnerable within no time. The heavy assault ultimately forced a senior Pakistani officer to reach out to India seeking a ceasefire. On the cricket field, a different form of “Operation Sindoor” unfolded, led by Tilak Varma, whose vital partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube anchored India’s innings. Varma’s well-crafted half-century, combined with their support, ensured India clinched its second T20I Asia Cup crown and ninth overall, counting ODI editions.
