SC allows YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia to resume show, but with certain conditions | Read in detail
PTC Web Desk: In the ongoing India’s Got Latent case, the Supreme Court on Monday granted conditional permission to Ranveer Allahbadia to resume 'The Ranveer Show', provided he submits an undertaking to maintain appropriate standards of morality and decency, ensuring suitability for viewers of all age groups. The court noted that the livelihoods of 280 employees are linked to the continuation of his show.
The Supreme Court directed the Assam investigating officer to coordinate with Allahbadia to finalise a date and time for him to join the probe. Regarding his request to travel abroad for guest appearances, the Supreme Court stated that this plea would be considered only after his participation in the investigation and once he is no longer required in connection with the case.
The court also extended the interim protection granted to Allahbadia from arrest while clarifying that no direct or indirect content should be produced that could influence the case’s merits.
The decision comes after Ranveer Allahbadia cited his show as his "only source of livelihood".
