'Some leaders working for BJP, will be sacked if needed': Rahul Gandhi's shocking claim over party leadership in Gujarat
PTC News Desk: Ahead of Gujarat elections in 2027, everything doesn't seems to be alright in Gujarat Congress as party leader Rahul Gandhi has raised alarming concern over functioning of the party in the state.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has alleged that some of the party workers are secretly working for BJP and further warned that they will be sacked if needed. He further said that the party is ready to remove up to 40 leaders in the BJP-ruled state, where the Congress has not been in power for decades.
"If we have to connect with the people of Gujarat, we need to do two things. The first task is to separate these two groups. Even if we have to remove 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 people, we are ready to do that to set an example," Gandhi told party workers in Ahmedabad at an event.
"Those in the Congress who are secretly working for the BJP should come out, work openly for the BJP. Let's see them. The BJP won't have space for you. They will throw you outside," he further added.
In his address to the party workers, Gandhi also emphasised on the fact that mere focusing on elections will not lead them to regain public trust as the party has been out of power for nearly three decades.
Until we fulfil our responsibilities, the people of Gujarat will not elect us. We must first earn their trust," he said.
