UP road accident: 5 killed, several injured as two SUVs collide
New Delhi, February 16: In a tragic road accident, five people were killed and other several injured after two SUVs collide returning from wedding function with tree at Uttar Pradesh’s Paprenda Road on Wednesday night.
As per the police sources, all of the shifted persons have been shifted to district hospitals for treatment, where two of them have been referred to Kanpur and Medical college.

The bodies have been sent for the postportem.
This is drunken driving case of road accident as all the people were drunk and returning to their homes after attending a wedding in the Rajapur area of Chitrakoot. Both vehicles collided with a tree while trying to speed up with one another.
As per the investigation, the people killed and hurt were resident of Pailani area.
Upon receiving the information, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police reached the spot and started legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, as per the District Magistrate, Deepa Ranjan "The CMS (Centre for Medicare & Medical Services) have been directed to help the deceased's relatives, and the adminsitration has been instructed to provide better treatment to the injured".
