Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday announced that his government has waived off two key requirements for Sikh pilgrims going for pilgrimage to Gudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, ahead of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said, "Indian pilgrims will no longer be required to bring their passport and only valid ID will be required for entering Pakistan through Kartarpur Corridor. Secondly, the Sikh pilgrims don't need to register themselves ten days in advance. Also, he said that no fee will be charged on the inaugural day of the Kartarpur Corridor on November 9 and on the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, on November 12. https://twitter.com/ImranKhanPTI/status/1190087955588755456?s=20 He said in his tweet: "For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off 2 requirements: i) they wont need a passport - just a valid ID; ii) they no longer have to register 10 days in advance.
