Pakistan: Special 'ardas' offered at Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara for early release of imprisoned Navjot Sidhu

Amritsar, October 7: Former cricketer and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Sidhu, who is serving a one-year sentence in the case of murder in the central jail of Patiala, received a warm cross border gesture. Special Ardaas was offered at Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara for early release of imprisoned leader Navjot Sidhu .

Manjit Kaur, a member of a group from Amritsar, who recently returned from Dera Baba Nanak road after visiting Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib located in Narowal district of Punjab, Pakistan. Navjot Sidhu has been imprisoned in Patiala jail for the past five months. Reportedly, Navjot Sidhu has played an important role in opening of the corridor leading to Kartarpur Sahib, because the then Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan immediately paid attention to Navjot Sidhu's demand for opening the corridor on behalf of all the Punjabis. On Sidhu's demand to open the corridor, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan took the initiative and the Indian government immediately completed the work of opening the corridor between the two countries in a very short span of time.
