Parambans Singh Romana releases numbers, says patients can come forward to seek Plasma donation

Coronavirus Punjab: Youth Akali Dal (YAD) on Friday announced it had established a Plasma bank in the State and had got 200 donors on board and would start the process of plasma donation immediately. YAD President Parambans Singh Romana said the Plasma Bank, which had been established following an appeal by SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, would be enlarged by reaching out to all eligible donors. He disclosed that SAD leaders including former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who had tested positive for Covid earlier, had registered for the initiative. The Youth Akali Dal President Parambans Singh Romana said the name of the donors along with their blood groups and telephone numbers would be advertised appropriately. He simultaneously released three telephone numbers - 9908000013, 9779171507, and 8427544763 which could be contacted for availing the services of the Plasma Bank. Romana said patients requiring Plasma could also tag him on Twitter and he would respond appropriately. “The YAD will do its best to ensure that no life is lost due to lack of availability of Plasma”. Meanwhile, Romana said that the central, as well as the Punjab government, were equally responsible for the rise in Covid cases as well as fatalities. He said it was unfortunate that the Prime Minister and the Union health minister had chosen to focus on elections in several States instead of boosting the health infrastructure.
