Parliament March: SAD to observe black day to mark one year of enactment of farm laws

SAD Parliament March: Shiromani Akali Dal is all set to observe September 17 as Black day on completion of one year of enactment of three farm laws. The party workers alongside farmers will hold a protest march from Gurdwara Rakabganj to Parliament demanding repeal of the three agri laws. However, the Delhi Police sealed all entry points and the Delhi-Haryana, Delhi-Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi-Rajasthan borders. A huge number of Shiromani Akali Dal workers were left stranded during the night. However, they were not allowed to enter Delhi. Why are Punjabis not being permitted in the national capital? This is a sad reminder of dark days." Former Union Home Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted: "Punjabis are not being allowed entry into Delhi. Punjab registered cars are specifically being tagged. Rakab Ganj Sahib is being cordoned off. Farmers want to peacefully make their voices heard and they will not be stopped!" It is worth mentioning here that Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal had vehemently opposed the passage of three farm laws in Parliament and they were only two MPs who voted against these bills. Even SAD representative Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the ministry after which the SAD quit NDA and also broke its alliance with the BJP. -PTC News
