PM Narendra Modi to attend function of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Devji

Joint Delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, and others have informed about the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, here on Monday. They said they have invited PM Narendra Modi for the main function on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Devji which is to be held on November 12 at Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab. Also, they said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed on it.

Also, Joint delegation of SAD, SGPC, DSGMC & others upon meeting with PM said and I quote, “Prime Minister also instructed Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate the Nagar Kirtan that is commencing from Sri Nankana Sahib, the birth Place of Sri Guru Nanak Devji on 25th July 2019.” “We desired that keeping in view the sentiments of entire Sikh community & Guru Nanak Naam Leva Sangat, religious functions should be held across the globe where Sri Guru Nanak Devji visited.”, said Joint delegation of SAD, SGPC, DSGMC & others.

The Joint delegation of SAD, SGPC, DSGMC & others has also said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to facilitate all these functions through Indian Missions abroad and also assured to provide all support to the organizers.
