Sonia Gandhi declares assets of Rs 12.53 crore in RS polls affidavit, has no car
PTC News Desk: Sonia Gandhi, former Congress president, declared assets of Rs 12.53 crore in her Rajya Sabha election affidavit. Sonia Gandhi owns shares in her father's property in Italy worth Rs 27 lakh.
Aside from these, she owns 88kg of silver, 1,267 grams of gold, and jewellery. The Congress leader owns three large plots of agricultural land in Dera Mandi village, New Delhi. Her income includes her MP salary, royalty income, capital gains, and so on.
In her poll affidavit, Sonia Gandhi claimed to have Rs 90,000 in cash.
Her total wealth in 2019 was 11.82 crore, according to her election affidavit.
According to the Rajya Sabha election affidavit, Sonia Gandhi completed a three-year foreign language course in English and French at the Istituto Santa Teresa in Siena in 1964. In 1965, she completed an English certificate course at the Lennox Cook School in Cambridge.
Sonia Gandhi does not have a personal car or a social media account.
