'Operation Amritpal': Daljit Kalsi's wife moves HC, files Habeas Corpus
Chandigarh, March 22: In the latest development in 'Operation Amritpal,' Daljit Kalsi's wife on Wednesday moved High Court and filed a Habeas Corpus petition to present Kalsi before the court.
Daljit Singh Kalsi, a small-time Punjabi actor-turned-businessman, is said to be an advisor for Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh who is currently on run.
For the unversed, Kalsi was arrested by police from Gurugram on March 19.
Moreover, Kalsi is one of Amritpal's close aides who have been slapped with the National Security Act (NSA) and shifted to Assam.
About the search for Amritpal Singh, Jalandhar SSP Swarnadeep Singh announced on Wednesday that the motorcycle on which the 'Waris Punjab De' chief fled has been found by police.
The bike was found near a canal in Jalandhar, according to reports.
He is claimed to have escaped to the Phillaur side, leaving the bike at Darapur village.
Amritpal managed to elude police after switching vehicles on Saturday, during a crackdown on him and his outfit 'Waris Punjab De'.
During police activity against him on Saturday, he was initially in his Mercedes vehicle but then switched to a Brezza SUV.
