Zira liquor factory row: Forty-eight protesters granted bail
Ferozepur: The arrested 48 protestors demonstrating against the closure of the liquor factory located at Zira in Ferozepur have been granted bail by the court. The joint front protest continues in front of the liquor factory. People of around 40 villages and other farmers are continuously demanding the closure of the liquor factory. Let us tell you that on December 18, the Punjab Police lifted the protest that was set up about 1 km away from the gate of factory. Meanwhile, the police arrested the protestors on the charge of stopping the government vehicles.

The farmers are expected to join the committee formed by the government after the protestors get bail. It is believed that the leaders of farmers' organizations and others will now agree to become members of the committee after talking to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The High Court has ordered the Punjab government to submit the report of the constituted committee within two weeks. The Punjab government has constituted 4 different committees in this matter. All the experts of Punjab have been included in it.
