Punjab: Employees to Class D will be recruited on regular basis
Punjab government led by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday, October 19, announced that the employees to Class D will be recruited on a regular basis. Charanjit Singh Channi took to Twitter and wrote: "The Govt. of Punjab has decided that employees to Class D will be recruited on regular basis. No more outsourcing." He is stable The development comes in the wake of series of protests by government employees against the Punjab government demanding the regularisation of their services. However, it is yet to be clarified if the existing contractual employees will be regularised or a new recruitment process will be initiated for the same. Likewise, it is also to be clarified if the current contractual employees will be regularized through a designated process or on the basis of their experience. The Punjab government has been facing series of protests as govt employees have been demanding the regularisation of their services. -PTC News
