Punjab Health Min Chetan Singh Jauramajra contradicts CM Bhagwant Mann on Haryana Assembly building
Punjab Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra in a contradicting statement to CM Bhagwant Mann on Haryana Vidhan Sabha building said that Haryana government will not be allowed to build an assembly building in Chandigarh. He said that if Haryana wants to build an assembly building, then they must do so in Panchkula, Faridabad or Kurukshetra.

Jauramajra said that Chandigarh belongs to Punjab and will remain of Punjab. Haryana has also been carved out of Punjab. Chandigarh already belongs to Punjab. The assembly building also belongs to Punjab; it has been given to Haryana as a brotherhood.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said yesterday that a new building of Haryana Vidhan Sabha would be built in Chandigarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given its approval. At present, Haryana and Punjab Vidhan Sabha are running in the same building complex.
As soon as Khattar's statement came, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also demanded land from the Centre. He said that Punjab should be given land in Chandigarh by the Central Government to separate Punjab Vidhan Sabha and Punjab and Haryana High Court.
