Punjab Assembly elections 2022: Indian politician Raj Kumar Verka is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). Amritsar West MLA was born on March 20, 1963. Raj Kumar Verka is a Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly (MLA) and represents Amritsar West. He also served as the vice-chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes. In 2012, he was elected from Amritsar West. He was elected for his third term in 2017 from Amritsar West. He also served as the Parliamentary Secretary in Punjab Government and General Secretary, PPCC; Vice-Chairman of National Commission for SC/ST and Chairman/Member of Committee on Welfare of SCs/BCs and Backward classes of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Keenly interested in Political, Social and Cultural activities and committed to the cause of social service and working tirelessly for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.
