Chandigarh schools will remain shut till September 7 amid heavy rains
PTC News Desk: In view of the incessant rainfall and subsequent flood condition, all the schools in Chandigarh will remain closed till September 7, 2025. The information about reopening the institution will be given as per the evolving situation.
Earlier the schools were closed till September 3, which has now been extended till September 7. The directive applies to all government, aided, recognised, and private schools throughout the city.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to keep in mind the safety of children and staff amid heavy rains and flood crisis.
The authorities have further urged all the residents to comply with the directives of the local administration.
