PTC News Desk: Meta-owned messaging and end-to-end encrypted platform keeps its users engaged with new features and updates with the platform. Now, the most-hyped messaging application introduced a new feature for users. 

WhatsApp announced additional new feature for the users in which one can share their screen during the video calling.  


Taking to his official Facebook handle, Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the new update and wrote, "We're adding the ability to share your screen during a video call on WhatsApp."

WhatsApp gives tough competition to Zoom and Google Meet 

Giving a tough competition to popular video calling applications such as Google Meet and Zoom, new feature in WhatsApp will be helpful to conduct presentations and meetings and will let user to share the content displayed on their screen.

Steps to use WhatsApp screen sharing 

To use the screen sharing feature on WhatsApp, you need to simply click on the ‘Share’ icon during video calling and then choose the specific screen or slide you wanted to present. 

The feature will allow you to share documents, images, contacts and even your shopping cart. 

32 participants will be able to join voice chat soon 

In another feature, WhatsApp is set to introduce new voice waveform icon within a group chat to the world's most popular chat app. WhatsApp new feature will be available to only some of the specific groups and more than 32 participants will be able to join the voice call at the same time. 

WhatsApp is certainly still primarily a messaging service - billions of people use it to communicate with friends and family. However, as it seeks to expand, generate more money, and become the all-encompassing super app it desires, it is attempting to be much more than that.
