Chandigarh: All set for Celebrity Cricket League exhibition match between Punjab De Sher, Educators Eleven at 6 pm today
Punjab De Sher Vs Educators Eleven: The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is set to showcase an exhibition match in Chandigarh's Sector 16 Cricket Stadium at 6 pm on Saturday, featuring Punjab's renowned team, the 'Punjab Lions'. Led by Captain Sonu Sood, Punjab Lions comprise a star-studded lineup, including Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Aparshakti Khurana, Ammy Virk, Navraj Hans, Jassie Gill, Babbal Rai, Gavie Chahal, Dev Kharoud, Ninja, Rahul Jetli, Suyash Rai, Anuj Khurana, Daksh Ajit Singh, Mayur Mehta and Vikramjeet Singh.
This exhibition match will see Punjab Lions (Punjab De Sher) take on Educators Eleven. Notably, the Educators Eleven features players representing leading educational institutions from Chandigarh and Punjab, such as Panjab University, Aryan Group, SD College, Rayat and Bahra University, Thapar University, Chandigarh University, DAV College, Desh Bhagat University, IIT Ropar, among others.
This event serves as a preparatory fixture for the upcoming Celebrity Cricket League Season 10. CCL Season 10, scheduled to commence on February 23, 2024, will witness the participation of eight teams. The captains leading these teams include Akhil Akkineni for Telugu Warriors, Pradeep for Karnataka Bulldozers, Kunchacko Boban for Kerala team, Sonu Sood for Punjab, Manoj Tiwari for Bhojpuri team, Jeet for Bengal, Arya for Chennai and Ritesh Deshmukh for Mumbai Heroes.
