PTC News Desk: India wrestler Vinesh Phogat landed in New Delhi on Saturday following her disqualification from the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport with thousands of people waiting outside to greet her.

Vinesh Phogat broke down after she received warm welcome amid tightened security at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. "I thank all the countrymen, I am very fortunate," said Vinesh.

Wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshee Malikkh and others were also present at Delhi airport to welcome Vinesh Phogat.

Ahead of Vinesh Phogat's arrival, her mother Premlata said, "Everyone from our village and nearby areas have come here to welcome her. We will felicitate her...she is a champion for me. The country has given her more honour than a gold medal."
