Amul salutes girl power in uniform after Operation Sindoor strike
PTC Web Desk: Amul, India’s iconic dairy brand known for its quirky, clever takes on trending news, just dropped another banger. This time, they’re giving props to the fierce ladies in uniform who led the charge on India's latest military op—Operation Sindoor. The new Amul creative features cartoon versions of Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, front and centre at a military presser.
he ever-popular Amul girl is seen tipping her hat in salute, while fighter jets and explosive backdrops highlight the vibe of a no-nonsense aerial mission. The punchline? A fiery one-liner that reads, “Send them Pakking”—a cheeky jab using “Pak” as a not-so-subtle nod to Pakistan. Beneath it is the patriotic closer, “Amul, proudly Indian.”
So what’s the context? India launched Operation Sindoor as payback for the deadly Pahalgam Terror Attack on April 22 that claimed 26 lives. In a swift, 25-minute operation, Indian forces hit hard, taking down nine terror hubs in Pakistan and PoJK with precision air and ground strikes. Rafale jets, armed with top-shelf SCALP and HAMMER missiles, lit up targets in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, and Muzaffarabad.
The mission wasn’t just muscle—it was history-making. For the first time, women officers led the high-profile media briefing. Commander Singh and Colonel Qureshi broke down the tri-service strike, standing tall as symbols of India’s military might and evolving leadership.
But the dust hasn’t settled yet. Pakistan clapped back with drone and missile attacks aimed at Indian bases in Jammu, Udhampur, and Pathankot. India intercepted the attacks cleanly, taking no hits. Still, tensions escalated as Pakistani forces shelled civilian areas, killing 16 persons—including children—in Kupwara and Uri. India responded with force.
To keep citizens safe, cities like Jammu, Srinagar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Barmer went into emergency blackout mode as air raid sirens blared and the Air Force warned of further threats. People were told to stay inside and off balconies.
