Hyderabad man finds dead lizard in Biryani, Zomato reacts
PTC News Desk: A Hyderabad man has shared a video that shows a dead lizard in a biryani ordered from a local restaurant. Vishwa Aditya, who lives in Amberpet, posted the video on social media, and it quickly went viral, sparking a debate on X and other platforms.
The minute-long video shows a lifeless lizard on the plate, which was about to be eaten by one of the social media users' family members. The family ordered the dish through Zomato, and the platform responded to it.
The video shows a family member holding a plate of rice with the lizard's body amidst the chicken biryani. Aditya also shared screenshots of his Zomato conversation, which revealed that the order was placed at Bawarchi Biryani.
Even the 'Bawarchi' packaging was photographed and shared with the footage.

Users on social media were outraged and slammed the restaurant.
"Have you eaten it?" inquired one user. "Famous restaurants ignoring quality," another said.
In response to the viral tweet, Zomato stated, "We have identified the issue and spoken to the customer. We take this very seriously and are working on appropriate next steps."
According to local media, this is not the restaurant's first brush with controversy. In May of last year, municipal corporation officials raided Bawarchi restaurant in response to a complaint from a BJP corporator who claimed to have found a lizard in the biryani he had ordered from there.
