King Charles diagnosed with cancer, to postpone public-facing duties
PTC News Desk: Britain's King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and will postpone public appearances, Buckingham Palace announced on Monday.
King Charles, 75, had spent three nights in the hospital last month following a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate when a separate concern was discovered. The palace stated that tests had revealed a form of cancer.
The palace did not provide any information about Charles' cancer, but a royal source confirmed that it was not prostate.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has wished King Charles a speedy recovery, saying, "Wishing His Majesty a full and speedy recovery. I have no doubt he'll be back to full strength in no time and I know the whole country will be wishing him well."
The opposition Labour Party leader, Keir Starmer, stated, "On behalf of the Labour Party, I wish His Majesty all the very best for his recovery. We look forward to seeing him back to swift full health."
