J&K: Constable found dead after being abducted by militants A police constable was found dead with multiple bullet injuries on Saturday afternoon from Qaimoh village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The constable, Mohammad Salim Shah was abducted by unidentified gunmen from his house on Friday night. He was killed by the militants after his abduction on Friday night.

Officials said Shah had been working as a Special Police Officer (SPO) and was recently promoted to the post of the constable. No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the killing. Shah is the 25th policeman killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir this year -- most of them in attacks in south Kashmir. -PTC News
