ALERT! NHAI hikes toll prices for Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, Sohna elevated road; check deets

Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway toll tax prices hiked: Attention for all the commuters using the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and Sohna elevated road as they have to pay more taxes. 

Effective April 1, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) revised toll tax charges for both the expressway and the Sohna elevated road, signaling a rise in toll fees by approximately four to five percent.

Check revised toll prices 

Private Cars: Toll for private cars at Kherki Daula toll plaza increases to Rs 85 per trip, up by Rs 5.

Light Commercial Vehicles: Toll for light commercial vehicles and mini-buses remains unchanged at Rs 120 per trip.

Buses/Trucks: Toll for buses, trucks, and multiple axle vehicles rises to Rs 250 per trip from the previous Rs 245.

Monthly Passes for Private Cars: Monthly passes for private cars are adjusted to Rs 930 from Rs 920.

Monthly Passes for Commercial Cars: Monthly passes for commercial cars and jeeps are now priced at Rs 1,225, previously Rs 1,215.

Meanwhile, the toll rates at the Ghamroj toll plaza on the Sohna elevated road remain unchanged, with commuters still paying Rs 125 per trip. 

However, for some vehicles, the rates have been increased.

Here are the details: 

Light Commercial Vehicles: For light commercial vehicles, the toll increases from Rs 200 to Rs 205 per trip. 
Buses/Trucks: For buses and trucks with two axles will now pay Rs 430 per trip, previously Rs 420
Trucks with 3 axles: For trucks with three axles will pay Rs 465 per trip, previously Rs 455

The monthly pass for commuters rises to Rs 340 from the previous Rs 330.

These adjustments come as part of NHAI's efforts to streamline toll operations and ensure effective maintenance of the expressway infrastructure. Commuters are advised to take note of these changes and plan their travel accordingly.
