Golden Temple sarovar overflows due to heavy rain: The holy sarovar water overflowed at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab on Tuesday night.

The parikrama at Sri Darbar Sahib witnessed stagnant water due to heavy rainfall in the wee hours.

Devotees visiting Golden Temple in the also informed of overflowing holy sarovar but were determined to pay obeisance.

Heavy rain lashed out in Amritsar disrupting daily life, the overnight spell of rain caused much inconvenience to daily commuters and school going children this morning.

Stagnant water at many low lying areas of city jammed the traffic.
