Heavy snowfall in Shimla and Manali

Himachal Pradesh residents woke up to the blanket of snow covering higher and mid hills. Shimla, Chamba, Kufri, Manali, Narkanda, Dalhousie received heavy snowfall from Thursday evening to Friday morning. Also, the lower hills and plains received heavy rain.

Heavy snowfall in the region disrupted the traffic flow and normal life. It also snapped the electricity cables causing disruption in power supply in many parts including Shimla.

Heavy snowfall in Shimla and Manali

On Thursday, Lahul and Spiti witnessed avalanches. A tavern was damaged because of an avalanche in Tindi area. The state authorities have advised the residents to stay indoors. Keep the safety of the students in mind, all schools and colleges were shut down in the region.
