Army accords farewell to 4 fallen soldiers in Jammu and Kashmirs Rajouri
PTC News Desk: A wreath-laying ceremony was held for four soldiers who were martyred in a terror attack in Dera ki Gali in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
At a wreath-laying ceremony in Rajouri, Indian Army said a heartbreaking farewell to the four fallen troops, Naik Birender Singh, Rifleman Gautam Kumar, Naik Karan Kumar, and Rifleman Chandan Kumar.
The terror incident on Thursday evening killed four Army men and injured three more.
In Thanamandi, Rajouri, militants ambushed two Army vehicles carrying troops.
Meanwhile, security personnel have been deployed in the Poonch district's Bafliaz area as search efforts for terrorists in the Rajouri sector's Dera ki Gali forest area continue.
On Saturday, the Indian Army stated that it is looking into the deaths of three civilians in the Poonch-Rajouri sector, where militants attacked army personnel on December 21, killing four soldiers.
The Indian Army stated on X, "Search operations by the security forces are continuing in the area of operations after the incident of December 21. Reports have been received regarding three civilian deaths in the area. The matter is under investigation."
