PTC News Desk: Amidst a national executive meeting of the Janata Dal (United) in New Delhi, speculations abound regarding the resignation of the party's national president, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh. It's rumored that Singh's departure will pave the way for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's ascension to the top post.

JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha confirmed that the party's national executive has urged Kumar to take charge in the larger interest of the party and the nation, aligning with the ongoing discussions during the key meeting.

Although Kumar has indicated that such meetings are routine and customary, discussions surrounding Singh's purported resignation in favor of Kumar's leadership have dominated the talks.

Singh reiterated Kumar's stature as the party's leader and dismissed rumors of discord between them, suggesting that such speculations were propagated at the behest of the BJP. He sarcastically mentioned that if resignation were to occur, he would consult the media for drafting the letter, hinting at the alleged BJP involvement in the rumors.
