Mohali murder outside SSP office: Police arrest two individuals for aiding key shooters

PTC News Desk: In a significant development, the Mohali police has arrested two accused in conncection with the murder case of Gurvinder Singh, who was shot dead outside the SSP office in Mohali on January 28.
The arrested accused have been identified as Baltej Singh alias Bunty, a resident of Faridkot, and Mangal Singh alias Max, a resident of Jalalabad in Fazilka district. They were allegedly assisting the shooters and are said to be close associates of gangster Goldy Brar.
However, the main shooters involved in the murder are still absconding, though their identities have been established. Police have recovered the motorcycle and an Amaze car that were used in the crime.
According to Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh, gangster Goldy Brar is reportedly the mastermind behind the killing.
Following the incident on January 28, police launched an immediate investigation and formed multiple teams. CCTV footage from across the city was examined, which showed two unidentified men riding a black Pulsar motorcycle. Further video analysis revealed that the suspects later met a white car on the way and boarded it after changing their clothes. Based on this evidence, police identified both vehicles and traced their owners.
Both Accused Provided Vehicles
During the investigation, Baltej Singh alias Bunty was arrested. He confessed to being the driver of the Honda Amaze car with a Uttar Pradesh registration number, which was used by the accused to escape. The vehicle was later recovered based on his disclosure. Further investigation revealed that Mangal Singh alias Max provided logistical support to the accused and arranged both vehicles — the car and the Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle — used in the crime.
The murder was allegedly carried out by Vicky Santewala and Ravi Faridkotiya. Police have questioned several individuals during the investigation and gathered inputs about the involvement of the accused.
