Amritsar: SAD's Bikram Majithia pays obeisance at Golden Temple; takes on AAP, Channi
Amritsar, September 3: Senior leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and former Punjab Cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Saturday paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Addressing mediapersons, he hailed the decision of SAD president on "One family, one ticket" policy. In his witty style, he trained guns on former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and said "Challa Mud Ke Ni Aya", adding that whenever he comes back from Canada, his video would be made viral.
Bikram Singh Majithia also lashed out at the AAP and alleged that the government in Punjab was being run at the instructions of those sitting in Delhi. He termed the excise policy a "big scam"
"If there is a scam in the excise policy in Delhi, then the policy of Punjab has also been crafted by those sitting in Delhi," he alleged while seeking a thorough investigation into the issue.

Bikram Singh Majithia alleged that the AAP government had been meting out step-motherly treatment to the jobless in the state. "They are assaulted badly whenever they (jobless) hold a protest. The government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure their bodies get used to assault," alleged the SAD leader.

He said AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal should first fulfill promises made to Punjabis and refrain from using the state's money to make the people of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat happy. Notably, the Assembly elections in these states are due.
Recently, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that the AAP would give Rs 1,000 per month to every woman aged above 18 years in Himachal Pradesh if the party was voted to power in the state. However, the AAP is yet to fulfill this promise made to the women of Punjab.
