Budgam gunfight: 2 militants killed, 3 soldiers injured
Two militants were killed and three soldiers were injured in a gunfight on Wednesday morning in Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces received specific information about militant’s whereabouts. After which, the forces started a cordon and search operation at Kuthpora village.

As the security forces were about to close in on the hiding militants, they fired, following which a gunfight broke out. The identity of the killed militants is yet to be ascertained.
The authorities have suspended the mobile internet services in Budgam and Pulwama districts as a precautionary measure.

Earlier this week, clashed broke out between civilians and security personnel in Shopian after an encounter in which six militants were killed and a jawan. In these clashes, a civilian was killed and more than fifty people were injured. -PTC NEWS
