Coronavirus positive cases in India rise to 1,58,333; death toll 4,531

The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in India has increased to 1,58,333 after 6,566 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Tuesday morning. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll has increased to 4,531 after 194 new deaths were reported from the country in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: “Spike of 6,566 new COVID-19 cases and 194 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country now at 1,58,333 including 86110 active cases, 67692 cured and discharged, and 4531 deaths.” India has been witnessing a spike of 6000+ cases for the past few days even after the country has been placed under the lockdown since March 25. The rise in the COVID-19 cases has come after the central government has relaxed the lockdown norms, permitting staggered movement of individuals and functioning of businesses to restart the corona-hit economy. Corona virus cases reached 1,58,333, 194 deaths in last 24 hours The global tally of coronavirus has crossed 5.5 million cases on Tuesday, with the total number of cases at 5,790,103 and the death toll at 357,432. The United States is the worst affected as more than 1,745,803 people in the county have tested positive and 102,107 patients have lost their lives.
