Coronavirus India Highlights: Centre issues guidelines for home isolation of Covid patients
Coronavirus Omicron India Highlights: India on Wednesday reported 58,097 fresh Covid-19 cases, 15,389 recoveries, and 534 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the daily positivity rate has increased to 4.18 percent.
The active Covid-19 cases have increased to 2,14,004 while total recoveries have reached 3,43,21,803 and the death toll has climbed to 4,82,551.

Meanwhile, 59 more doctors of the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Patna tested positive for Covid-19, state health officials informed on Tuesday. Likewise, 140 students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Jammu and Kashmir's Katra tested positive for Covid-19, informed the university officials on Tuesday.

Similarly, 41 students of a nursing college in Ludhiana tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.

He further said that Delhi Govt has instructed private hospitals to increase the number of reserved beds for COVID patients to 40% from 10% of their capacity. Nearly 2% of beds are occupied in the government hospitals, he added.
